Animation

There are two types of animation probes. These are listed below.

• Animation Probe

• Slice Animation Probe

Each of these probes are discussed in separate subsections below.

The Animation Probe is used to provide an output file that contains the required information for the creation of animations of evolving electromagnetic behavior within the EMA3D® GUI. The type of animations available include:

These animations occur over all specified structures.

The Animation Probe and the Traditional Probe are programed to write output to the same file. The Animation Probe has the same base name as the EMA3D input file, but a different extension. The extension used is, “.emout”. Therefore, if the input file name were, “Model1.emin”, then the Animation Probe output file name would be, “Model1.emout”.

The Slice Animation Probe is used to provide an output file that contains the required information for the creation of animations of evolving electromagnetic behavior on a geometric slice through the EMA3D problem space to be viewed within the EMA3D GUI. The type of animations available include:
