Shield Transfer Resistance | ![]() |
A shield transfer impedance can be specified using a constant transfer resistance. A transfer resistance imparts a frequency independent behavior to the shield causing equal coupling at all frequencies. Many manufacturers of cable shields will provide transfer resistance information. In many cases, the transfer resistance is merely the DC resistance of the shield. Both a transfer inductance and a transfer resistance can be assigned to the same shield.
