Keywords

The ASCII text lines within an EMA3D® input file are referred to as file entries. File entries are assembled into group entries, which define the material, source type, or output probe. Each group entry is specified by a keyword. Keywords are categorized as level 1, level 2, or level 3. All level 1, level 2, and level 3 keywords are preceded by a “!”, “!!” and “!!!”, respectively. Level 1 keywords are used to identify group entries. Level 2 and 3 keywords provide additional definitions and refinements. Therefore, level 2 and 3 keywords are always associated with a level 1 keyword and cannot exist independently. All keywords are case insensitive.

There are many defined keywords allowable in the EMA3D input file. It is not necessary to have all the keywords present. A minimal set sufficient to define the problem of interest is all that is necessary. If a keyword does not appear in the input file, it is either irrelevant or a default condition may be assumed.
