Materials

The material types available within EMA3D® are provided below. All these materials have both electric and magnetic counterparts.

  1. Isotropic

    • PEC (Perfect Electric Conductor)

    • PMC (Perfect Magnetic Conductor)

    • Insulating

    • Lossy

    • Magnetic Absorber

    • Frequency Dependent

    • Composite

  2. Anisotropic

    • Frequency Independent

Frequency dependent materials are listed under isotropic materials. However, in this document the term, "isotropic", will always refer to a frequency independent material. When an isotropic material is frequency dependent, it will be referred to as a frequency dependent material. The term "anisotropic" will imply frequency independence. Using these definitions, the distinct types of materials allowable in EMA3D are presented below.

  1. Isotropic (Frequency Independent)

  2. Anisotropic (Frequency Independent)

  3. Frequency Dependent (Isotropic)
