Quasistatic | ![]() |
In this section quasistatic boundary conditions are discussed. These boundary conditions consist of:
• Low frequency on H-fields (quasi-magnetostatic)
• Low frequency on E-fields (quasi-electrostatic)
Each of these quasistatic boundary conditions are discussed in separate subsections below.
The H-field low frequency boundary condition is a quasi-static boundary condition designed to apply to quasi-magnetostatic configurations. Such configurations could exist for situations involving lightning interaction or when slowly varying currents are involved. When using this boundary condition, the computational results should be closely monitored and inspected. If the results prove unfavorable, then another boundary condition should be selected.
The E-field low frequency boundary condition is a quasi-static boundary condition designed to apply to quasi-electrostatic configurations. When using this boundary condition, the computational results should be closely monitored and inspected. If the results prove unfavorable, then another boundary condition should be selected.
