Executing CHARGE | ![]() |
The initialization of the materials, mesh, boundaries and sources needs to be done in the GUI. In the dropdown below the start button, there is an option to export simulation files. The tool will generate a simulation directory labeled with an index every time that export tool is used or the start button is pushed.
The difference between the start button and the export button is the launch of the CHARGE solver: ema3d_charge.exe. This solver, which is part of the installation of EMA3D Charge, can also be launched via a terminal or command prompt by typing the "ema3d_charge.exe" command.
Though it is not recommended, simulation files can be edited after export and before the execution of the solver.
The solver checks out the same license as the EMA3D and CHARGE tabs in the GUI.
