Excitation

The Excitation section contains the options for setting the electromagnetic sources used to excite the model.

There are several different types of sources available in MHARNESS. These sources include:

1.   Plane Wave

2.   Pin Excitation

   1.   Pin Voltage

   2.   Pin Current

3.   Differential Voltage

A signal waveform must be assigned to each source. The signals can be defined using a source data file or a predetermined analytic waveform as described on the Signals page.

MHARNESS is fully integrated with EMA3D in a self-consistent strongly coupled fashion enabling the electromagnetic environment computed with EMA3D to provide the sources required to drive MHARNESS. The currents generated on the conductors within MHARNESS in turn, affect the EMA3D electromagnetic environment.
