Cylindrical Shell Reference | ![]() |
This keyword is used in conjunction with the CAPACITANCE COMPUTE keyword. In the absence of the WIRE REFERENCE or the CYLINDRICL SHELL REFERENCE keyword, the default return reference for an exposed segment is assumed. The default return reference is a ground plane, at z = 0.0. With the CYLINDRICL SHELL REFERENCE keyword, a segment can have a cylindrical shell reference without having to define a superior shield. A cylindrical shell reference can only be defined when the SEGMENT/COMPLEX or the SEGMENT/COMPLEX2 keyword combination pairs are used to define the corresponding segment to which the cylindrical reference is associated.
There are two second level keywords associated with the CYLINDRICL SHELL REFERENCE keyword. These are:
• SHELL IN FREE SPACE
• FILAMENT NUMBER
