Segment Current Polarity and Conventions

In the input file format description of Chapter 7, an MHARNESS® cable segment is defined as beginning at one end, represented by the characters, “end1”, and ending at the other end, represented by the characters, “end2”. The character strings, "end1" and "end2", can be either a circuit termination, represented by a "0", or a junction/node, represented by user defied names. Each of the ends is assigned an integer identifier, “1” for "end1" and “2” for "end2". Positive current flows from end1 to end2. All conductors within a segment have the same current polarity. The first coordinates and/or the first junction number specified for the segment in the input file is at end1 of the segment.
